Motor W16: Blocul
The English posting of this blog is located here.
In a 3-a parte a seriei despre motorul W16 voi prezenta blocul motor si voi explica detaliat constructia lui.

W16 Engine: The Block
In this third post about the W16 Engine I will introduce the Engine Block and detail its build.
See detailed explanation in the extended entry at the end of the post.
Thank you for reading about this build and stay tuned for the next post which will include the crankshaft and the math behind it.

W16 Engine: Piston-Conrod Assembly
In this post I will continue with the building of my W16 engine by introducing the piston rings, the connecting rod parts and assembly, and finally, the whole assembly with the proper movement restricting mates.
See detailed explanation in the extended entry at the end of the post.
Thank you for reading about this build and stay tuned for the next post which will include the engine block and the math behind it.

This is a model of the W16 Turbo engine used in the world’s fastest production car. I modeled it as a final project for the Introduction to CAD class. During the next few weeks I will walk you through the build, post the files and explain some of the math behind it. This post will cover the modeling of the basic piston:
Here is the link to the document that I used as a reference.

Thank you for reading about this build and stay tuned for the next post which will include the Conrod and the Piston-Rod-Rings Assembly.

In aceasta postare voi continua cu constructia modelului W16.

In urmatoarele cateva saptamani voi detalia constructia, voi atasa fisierele si voi explica geometria si rationamentele folosite. Acest prim post va prezenta modelarea pistonului.
