Hey SOLIDWORKS users, Happy 4th of July! So to celebrate the holiday, we are taking an off-the-shelf model rocket and making it our own with the help of SOLIDWORKS, 3D printing, and a little elbow grease. So let’s get started with our 3 part series.
Welcome back to our 3-part series where we are hacking an off-the-shelf model rocket kit and making it our own with a retro designed nose cone and tail piece. In part one of the series, we completed the design for our new rocket nose cone and began modeling a new tail piece as well. Let’s wrap up the design of the tail piece in part 2 of the series using a few Revolved Bosses, the Boundary tool, and the Shell tool. Plus, we’ll show you a few other unique SOLIDWORKS modeling tools along the way.
