SolidWorks Part Reviewer: Glass with Controlled Edges
Glass with Controlled Edges: It is a good best practice to create a central axis for circular features when working on complication “revolved” parts. This should be reference for all circular features instead of sketch center lines, model faces or edges, etc.
A global variable defines the number of sections. This is used to create a cut that isolates one section of the glass. This way the finished shape can be pattered eliminating unnecessary rework. By using a global variable, the number of sections now parametrically drive the model.
