Export to AEC is now available in SOLIDWORKS 2015. Users often need to provide 3D models to AEC software users that design buildings, structures, waste water treatment plants and more. These users frequently design, develop and manufacture equipment including, light fixtures, elevators, etc. that need to be integrated into other AEC tools. These new capabilities allow users to easily export simplified models that are properly scaled and rotated for easy import into other AEC software using .sat format (ACIS).
