E-signature configuration in 3DEXPERIENCE- A covert Guide!
Ever wondered to slick your collaboration & approval process for different tasks? Worried about recording user-specific approvals for series of tasks? If yes, then this blog is for you!
In the ever-evolving landscape of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, organizations are constantly seeking innovative ways to streamline processes, enhance collaboration, and ensure compliance. The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform provides the ability to setup an electronic signature by entering your credentials for task approvals & can be configured easily along with the Collaborative Industry Innovator role.
Step 1: Accessing Administration Console
Log in to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform with administrative credentials and navigate to the Platform Administration dashboard. This console is where you can configure various settings, including those related to e-signatures. Now look for the Collaborative Spaces Configuration Centre present inside the Content tab. From the several row present find the ‘Approval E-signature’.
Step 2: Define E-Signature Policies
In the Approval E-signature, you will define the policies that govern e-signatures in your ENOVIA environment.
To mandate the use of e-signature for approval tasks, select an option from the
Configure E-Signature list.
Let’s choose to configure E-signature based on if ‘Specified in Route template’.
Step 3: Define workflow templates
In the workflow configuration, create or modify templates to include e-signature steps. This ensures that the e-signature process seamlessly integrates with your existing workflows.
Go to Route management & create new route template of type ‘Approval’
Add a Title & description for Approval route base purpose & at the end select approval with Signature.
Now go ahead & release the template after adding necessary tasks.
Step 4: Rollout & monitor
Deploy the E-signature & test it while creating a new route based on any created route template that requires E-signature.
Now select the task to approve in Route Management application while giving approval comments.
Thus while approving the task user is required to enter user name & password as E-signature.
By following these step-by-step guidelines, you can seamlessly integrate electronic signatures into your existing workflows, empowering your teams to collaborate more effectively while ensuring the integrity and traceability of critical documents.
As industries continue to embrace digital transformation, the integration of E-signatures stands out as a pivotal step towards a more streamlined and future-ready PLM ecosystem.
