SOLIDWORKS Part Reviewer: Shield
Shield: This model is created with all solid body features except for the eye geometry that was created with a surface. The surface features include a filled surface with a 3D constraint curve and a few offset surfaces. There is one example of a 3D sketch using the “spline on surface” relation which is placed on a offset copied surface. There are two cut with surfaces features to show a small sample of Hybrid Modeling techniques.
There are several extrusions that are extruded from a curved face instead of flat sketched plane. This creates geometry that follows the shape of the front of the shield. There are two circular patterns. Other features in the model include: revolves, combines, chamfers, delete face and one split line curve. Download the part here!
