The board is set, the pieces are moving. We come to it at last…the great design and engineering event of 2016: SOLIDWORKS World. With so much going on, we want to create a one-stop checklist you can use to be prepared for a fun and productive event.

Scavenger Hunt!

This year in Dallas, 4 clues + 4 days + 4 pics = 4 awesome surprises!

Beginning Sunday, January 31, we’ll offer up a scavenger hunt clue on the @SOLIDWORKS Twitter account at 8am. Your job is to answer the clue with a photo using #SWW16.

On Wednesday, February 3, we’ll give you a top secret location where you will bring your smart phone and show us your clues. The first four attendees who arrive with all four clues will receive an exclusive event swagbag!

Mobile App:

Download the SOLIDWORKS World 2016 mobile app to manage your event experience. The app enables you to track your schedule, explore sessions, access maps, provide feedback, view exhibitor information and interact with fellow users in the app’s activity feed.

Onsite Reminders:

Every day is jam-packed with general sessions, receptions and special events. Here are key items to keep in mind:

Get registered! The registration desk is located in the Hall D Foyer and will operate during the following hours:

  • Sunday, January 31: 7:00am to 7:00pm
  • Monday, February 1: 7:00am to 7:00pm
  • Tuesday, February 2: 7:00am to 7:00pm
  • Wednesday, February 3: 7:00am to 12:00pm

T-shirts, get your t-shirts! SOLIDWORKS World 2016 features three original t-shirt designs. Head to Partner Pavilion in Hall C during registration hour to print a fresh shirt of your choosing. Review the design options here!

This year is BYOB as in bring your own backpack to fill with t-shirts and assorted treasures.

Two certification testing sessions are scheduled for Sunday, January 31. Session one is 10:00am to 2:00pm, session two is 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Both sessions take place in Trinity 1-6.

The Welcome Reception is scheduled for Sunday, January 31 in the Partner Pavilion, Hall C from 5:30pm to 7pm. We would be honored if you would join us.

Breakfast is served daily from Monday, February 1 through Wednesday, February 3 in Hall B from 7:00am to 8:15am. Remember: bacon never sleeps.

Lunch is served daily, Monday, February 1 through Wednesday, February 3, in Hall B from 12:00pm to 1:30pm.

General Sessions take place daily, Monday, February 1 through Wednesday, February 3, in Hall D from 8:30am to 10:00am. Doors open at 8:00am. Be there early for a good seat to see great keynote speakers including Yves Béhar, Peter Diamandis, David Pogue, and Neil Gershenfeld.

The Partner Pavilion features more than 110+ exhibitors as well as cool SOLIDWORKS user-created products to get your hands on – including augmented reality glasses, rc racecars, scooters, and pinball!   • Monday, February 1: 11:30am to 4:30pm
  • Tuesday, February 2: 11:30am to 4:30pm
  • Wednesday, February 3: 10:00am to 2:30pm

Join us for the Special Event at Gilley’s Dallas on Tuesday, February 2 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. With BBQ, cold beer, Rock Star Karaoke and a concert with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, it’s an event you won’t want to miss!

Connect with old friends and meet new ones. More than 5,000 people will be at the event, giving you opportunities to learn from many different backgrounds. In addition to meeting fellow users onsite, there are several non-traditional networking options you can check out including The Bacon Brotherhood, The Coffee Clique, The Runners, and The CAD Monkey Dinner.
