3DEXPERIENCE EDU – Your Skills. Our Future. Beyond SOLIDWORKS.

Last week, we celebrated design and innovation at 3DEXPERIENCE World in Dallas, Texas.  This event saw 1000’s of engineers, designers, educators, students and makers, run to get a seat to hear the latest in Dassault Systèmes’ and  SOLIDWORKS technology.  3DEXPERIENCE World showcased our future direction, filled with inspirational stories and concrete examples.

We highlighted student certifications in both SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, our technology and business platform, that is changing the way our industry clients work in a collaborative cloud environment.

Thanks to my colleague Céline Chedur-Guigan and the 3DXEDU team, they created a short video for all students, showcasing new methods in teaching and learning, to develop skills that will meet the future needs of the industries we serve.

We focused on giving students and their instructors the tools to develop the job skills industry needs today and in the future. So what if you didn’t go to 3DEXPERIENCE World? It doesn’t matter, you can join us next year in Houston, TX or a local SOLIDWORKS user group around the world. All Students and Educators can join our online communities.

Every graduate, not just those majoring in engineering or science, that works for a technology-focused company, including finance, marketing, management, or education, will need new skill sets.

During the Student Skill sessions, my colleague Suzanne Diekan provided career guidance and interview tips to the 100’s of students that attended 3DEXPERIENCE World.  My colleague, Anne – Laure Verdet, introduced us to three new employees, Angus Black, Zach Giaconia, and Edward Ritter Von Wagner in our Graduate Development Program (GDP). The GDP’s mission is to source & enable the most talented workforce across all roles, empowering recent graduates with the foundational knowledge & knowhow for long successful careers at Dassault Systèmes.

Before you apply for an internship or full time position, review what the company does – including all its divisions.  Dassault Systèmes is the company behind CAD software like SOLIDWORKS, CATIA and DraftSight.  Learning one CAD application is not enough. We have world-wide brands SIMULIA (simulation with Abaqus, CST Studio Suite), DELMIA (manufacturing & robotics), product life cycle, data management, marketing and visualize software skills that are also important. Did you know that Dassault Systèmes creates life sciences applications and sustainable city development software?

No matter what software or what industry, we are all able to communicate and share real data through one platform, the 3DEXPIERENCE platform.

Design well.
