The FRC Kit of Part 2025 is developed especially for this years FRC Competition called Reefscape.

We created 2 formats for the FRC Kit of Parts: Windows (.sldprt, STEP) and Web Browser (3DXML).

SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD (For PC – Windows Format)

FIRST R&D modeled the playing field in SOLIDWORKS format. We also added SOLIDWORKS Visualize for photorealistic rending. You too can get SOLIDWORKS Visualize in your sponsorship package.

Download the FRC KOP 2025, FRC 2025 Playing Field, FRC 2025 Kit Bot Review the ReadMe Documents. Unzip the Files. There are also KOP’s in SOLIDWORKS 2024 format and STEP format.

Customizing SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD (Windows) for FIRST

Select Design Library from the SOLIDWORKS Task Pane. Click Add File Location. Browse and select a Windows Folder that contains FRC KOP Models. Example Long_25.

Now the Design Library contains the folder Long_25. Click on Long_25. Parts and Assemblies are displayed.

Click and drag a component from the Design Library into the SOLIDWORKS Graphics Window. The model is displayed.

You can also use the Design Library, Add File Location to display the FRC Field and all its components. Note: You must unzip the Folder.

The game pieces are in the FRC 2025 Field folder.

SOLIDWORKS Cloud Apps (Web Browser)

We recreated the model files in 3DXML format. This is the format used by SOLIDWORKS xDesign.

To access the 2025 FRC Kit of Parts, Field and Model Files, go to www.solidworks.com/FIRST. Follow the instructions to create a 3DEXPERIENCE ID and browse to the 3DEXPERIENCE Student Community to retrieve the model files your teams needs.

With SOLIDWORKS Cloud Apps and the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, you will be invited to the FIRST Dashboard. The web-browser FIRST Dashboard contains a library of the FRC 2025 KOP and FRC 2025 Playing Field. You need your 3DEXPERIENCE ID to access these files from the Student Wiki.

Unzip the components.

The 3DXML format is the file format for SOLIDWORKS xDesign.
