Building Skills for Young Adults – Douala Digital Tech Park Cameroon
Skills! The city of Douala, Cameroon, celebrates the inauguration of the Douala Digital Tech Park (DTP), an ambitious project located at the heart of the JFN HUI campus in Santa-Barbara Bonamoussadi Cameroon.
This initiative, led by the Jacky Felly Nafack JFN Group of Alphonse Nafack in collaboration with SOLIDWORKS reseller, KTM Green Energy Group and its partner Dassault Systèmes, marks a pivotal moment for the technological and industrial landscape of Cameroon and Africa as a whole.
Nestor Mbogni, education advocate from KTM Green Energy Group explained, “These partnerships highlight the ambition of the project and its potential to transform the region into a true technological hub.” Over 250 people attended the inaugural event on October 31, 2024, including:
- Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation
- Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training
- Ministry of Higher Education Ministry of Mines
- Urban Community of Douala (CUD)
- General Directorate of PAD (Douala Autonomous Port)
- General Directorate of SCDP (Cameroon Petroleum Depots Company)
- Management of ALUCAM (Aluminum of Cameroon)
The Digital Tech Park (DTP) positions itself as an innovation hub offering comprehensive incubation and acceleration services for startups. Equipped with state-of-the-art prototyping resources, it targets key sectors such as industry, healthcare, urbanization, mining, education, energy, and smart agriculture.
Talent Training and Development
The Douala Digital Tech Park aims to train over 10,000 young African talents by 2030. The goal is to create a skilled workforce in global technologies and transfer expertise acquired abroad to Cameroon and Africa.
Our colleague, Frédéric Douphy, Senior Sales Expert represented Dassault Systèmes, along with company representatives from KTM, Google Cloud, Amazon and Microsoft Azure supported the Douala Digital Tech Park initiative.
