For Educators: 3DDesigner for Education provides 100% Cloud applications.  You can use all apps on their own or connect to your desktop SOLIDWORKS Windows machines in your classroom. Also available is the SOLIDWORKS Connector that allows you to use and manage SOLIDWORKS Education Edition data, introducing PLM to your students.

For Students: 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS for Students contains 100% Cloud CAD applications and the SOLIDWORKS Connected app from any web-browser.  If you have a native Windows PC, the SOLIDWORKS Connected app allows you to use 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS, included, a special SOLIDWORKS CAD Windows User Interface to create parts, assemblies and drawings.  SOLIDWORKS Data is stored in the cloud and connected to the SOLIDWORKS Cloud CAD Apps.

3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS  for Students resides on it’s own “student tenant” a special cloud storage space and as a result, data created is not able to be opened on a school’s SOLIDWORKS  education network or with SOLIDWORKS commercial  software.

Certification exams are available to qualified educators through the SOLIDWORKS Academic Provider program and to students who directly purchase 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS for Students.
