SWW15 Preview: Greg Johnson’s Part Modeling – What Not to Do

SOLIDWORKS World 2015 features more than 200 sessions led by design and engineering experts. These sessions will bring you up to speed on the latest SOLIDWORKS features as well as give you the best training to make the most of what 3D CAD has to offer. Over the next few weeks, we’ll preview a number of sessions that you’ll want to include on your calendar.

Today we’re going to preview a #SWW15 session from Greg Johnson titled, “Part Modeling – What Not to Do”. Johnson is a Senior Applications Specialist at the Vermeer Corporation, a leading manufacturer of agriculture, construction, surface mining, tree care, organic recycling, and wood waste processing equipment, where he’s responsible for providing support to the 140 SOLIDWORKS licenses used by Vermeer. Given his support responsibilities, it’s fair to say that Johnson has seen his fair share of what not to do. Take advantage of his experience and make sure you’re doing the right thing.

Session Description: This session will explore sample models showing things you should not do when modeling in SOLIDWORKS. Johnson will show poor modeling techniques, performance killers, and much more – allowing you to instantly realize that you’re doing it wrong.

What You Can Expect: During this hour-long session, you will learn the procedures that cause problems in SOLIDWORKS and how to avoid them. The result: increased CAD satisfaction and performance. You’ll also have some new tricks to share with your colleagues.

When: Tuesday, February 10, 2015

Time: 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
