Company: Gibbs and Associates: GibbsCAM

About: GibbsCAM is a PC-based CAM system for programming CNC machine tools that’s organized into a single application. Our base package can be expanded through various modules, which is great because you can expand your software easily as your shop’s needs grow. We provide a wide range of functionality including 2-5 Axis Milling, 2-Axis Turning, High Speed Machining, Mill/Turn, Wire-EDM, Multi-Task Machining (including Swiss), and more.

What’s new for #SWW15: When you visit booth 525, you’ll be introduced to GibbsCAM 2015, which introduces a new engine, the universal Kinematic Machine (UKM). GibbsCAM with UKM technology was developed to further simplify programming, provide the flexibility to easily support the most advanced machines, and accurately simulate all of the machine components and capabilities of any machine.

About: OPEN MIND has been producing CAM software hyperMILL, a SOLIDWORKS-integrated CAM solution, for over 20 years. hyperMILL functions cover a full range of technology from 2.5D through 5-axis milling, additional specialty 5-axis solutions, turning and mill-turn, and also EDM through a partner product. What’s new for #SWW15: OPEN MIND will have fascinating hardware samples and cool machining videos available forthose who visit booth 416. Experts will be on hand to discuss topics related to milling techniques, SOLIDWORKS and the potential of manufacturing. Items of note on-hand include the Puzzle Ball (see below video) and a women’s high-heeled dress shoe. But it’s not just any shoe. The shoe’s development actually started in a mall. The shoe was scanned, data was refined and minor design changes were made to improve machinability. Finally, hyperMILL was used for CAM programming and machining resulting in a unique piece of footwear.

About: C&G Systems Inc. provides development, distribution and support of CAD/CAM, Production Management and Prototyping solutions. Its CG CAM-TOOL product is a high-precision CAM System for Mold and Die Manufacturing. Its calculation engine is transferred from CAM-TOOL that is most commonly used high-end CAD/CAM system in Japan.

What’s New for #SWW15: Visiting booth 101 will give you a first-hand visual confirmation of what can be accomplished in the Machining Process with C&G Systems. The onsite team will have steel and aluminum samples of various shapes that were processed without being touched by human hands. These samples are created directly from the CNC Machine demonstrating the possibilities provided by the right CAM Software. Visitors can also expect a demo showing how easy CG Press Design, CG Mold Design, and CG CAM-TOOL is to use in the SOLIDWORKS environment.
