SolidWorks 2012 is here – find out what’s new and exciting!

After a year of development, the latest update to the SolidWorks product line has been unveiled. Our 20th release features over 200 enhancements — 90% of which were the result of user feedback — in areas such as as assembly and drawing capabilities, built-in simulation, design costing, routing, image and animation creation and product data management.

These new capabilities will help automate the design functions SolidWorks customers use most often, improve performance and quality for a more streamlined workflow, fundamentally change product development processes for faster designs, and extend support for collaboration and team connectivity for creativity and efficiency.

But don't take our word for it — click through to the SolidWorks 2012 website and see what's new for yourself. Here's a quick preview.

One last thing — be sure to check back here over the next few weeks for updates on some of the enhancements not featured on the website, such as Feature Freeze, Command Search and Equation Editing.
