SWW Speaker Spotlight – Phil Sluder
At the first (official) SolidWorks World conference in Palm Springs, I attended a session called SolidWorks Tips and Tricks by Phil Sluder. Arriving to the session early proved to be a good idea. As the session began, I looked behind me to see a crowd of people standing at the back of the room and continuing out the door. The next year in New Orleans, the crowd was even larger, but so was the room – 1/2 of the master ballroom.
For 11 years now, Phil Sluder has provided SolidWorks World attendees with a masterful presentation filled with SolidWorks Tips and Tricks gleaned over the years. Always one of the highest rated sessions, it’s amazing to watch a room full of people frantically writing notes, slapping their foreheads (so THAT’S how you do it), and turning to one another and saying "Oh, that’s a good one".
Phil is the owner of Triaxial Design and Analysis, based in San Diego, California. A long-time member of the SWUGN Committee, and leader of the San Diego SolidWorks User group since May of 1999, Phil’s soft-spoken yet confident speaking style has earned him the well deserved title of "Mr. Tips and Tricks". A regular at the SWUGN Summit Technical events, and an often requested speaker at local User Group meetings, he’s always eager to share his knowledge with others.
There are six different sessions at SWW 2009 listed under the Tips and Tricks category. Make sure that Phil’s session is on your list of must see presentations.
