A Week in Boston

I left Austin, Texas Monday for my bi-annual trip to SolidWorks corporate, leaving behind 90 degree weather only to arrive to 91 degrees and 65% humidity.  So much for cool, early summer weather up north.

The week started with the SWUGN Technical Summit – Boston.  75 attendees and a host of SolidWorks folks showed up.  Rob Rodriguez was kind enough to drive down from Vermont to do a couple of sessions, but our friend Devon Sowell got caught in an airline snafu and unfortunately couldn’t make it.  We’ll see Devon next a little closer to home, at the SWUGN Technical Summit – San Diego.

I drove up to Waterbury Vermont Thursday evening for the Northern Vermont SolidWorks User Group meeting.  I was pleased to see nearly 40 people there, and they were very engaged in the meeting.  The drive was gorgeous too, I don’t get to see too many mountains where I live in Texas.

The week culminates in an executive review later today.  I’ll be detailing the things that are happening in the user group community for some of the top brass at SolidWorks, and frankly, the way things are going, I can’t wait.
