SolidWorks Part Reviewer: Hammer
Hammer: An extrude is used instead of a revolve to form the head of the hammer as proper draft for forging can be built into the extrude sketch but not the sketch for a revolve. A cut is used to shape the claw of the hammer. It was not possible to create this shape from the right plane as the claw is arced when viewed from the top plane. Creating a mass and cutting it back is a valid technique for creating more complex shapes than would be possible with a single extrude.
