MySolidWorks Supports Educators and Helps Students Learn

If you use SOLIDWORKS software, MySolidWorks (my.solidworks.com) is your place for all things SOLIDWORKS. For educators and students, there are great lessons and content to learn, prepare for job skills and certification exams, and to become an integral part of the SOLIDWORKS community through the SOLIDWORKS User Forum.

Schools on subscription have free access to MySolidWorks for Students that contains hundreds of lessons. There is also “Guest” access for all.

For educators, MySolidWorks provides hundreds of tutorials for you to enhance your SOLIDWORKS skills and also to provide students lessons, already developed, in 3D design, simulation, documentation, visualization and data management. Not only do these lessons contain SOLIDWORKS features, but they provide important concepts such as design intent, structural analysis theory, and knowledge of engineering drawing standards.

MySolidWorks Training contains Lessons, Learning Paths, and Video Playlists with assessments.  This content can be used in your lectures or provided to students for assignments.

For educators, we can help you with your final exams by providing access to SOLIDWORKS certification exams through the SOLIDWORKS Academic Certification Provider program.  Educators, save exam prep time, give our SOLIDWORKS certification exams to your students. Exams contain random distributed content, automatically graded, and documented for student success/improvement.

Your student credentials are shared in the 3DEXPERIENCE Certification Center for employers to confirm their job skills. With almost 1 million certified SOLIDWORKS users worldwide, a SOLIDWORKS credential gives your students a jump into a competitive job market.

MySolidWorks also contains the links to the SOLIDWORKS Community and the SOLIDWORKS User Group Network.  Educators and students can join to ask your questions and attend local/online meetings. You need to create a 3DEXPERIENCE ID (login).

MySolidWorks has additional great content using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and cloud apps developed by SOLIDWORKS R&D and other related software applications by Dassault Systèmes. Check out one of my favorites, SOLIDWORKS xDesign, a 100% browser-based cloud app.

Students! Now is the time to use your SOLIDWORKS student serial number, Select Help, About SOLIDWORKS from the main toolbar.  Ask your instructor to join the SOLIDWORKS Academic Provider Program. Prepare for your classes, projects, job searches and careers by using MySolidWorks.
