3DEXPERIENCE World EDU Spotlight Poland’s Silesian Phoenix Mars Rover

The 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025 (#3DXW2025) EDU Breakout sessions showcase talented educators and students to share their stories with the SOLIDWORKS Community. The story and achievements of  Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland Mars Rover team will be featured  at the 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025.

Andrzej Jałowiecki, Department of Fundamentals of Machinery Design, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Team Supervisor and Jakub GurgulDepartment of Artificial Intelligence Modeling, Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Team Lead are scheduled to present in Houston, TX, on Wednesday, Feb 26 2025, 9:45 AM – 10:30 AM CST.

Silesian Phoenix is a student project at Silesian University of Technology in Poland. Their goal is to design and build the most innovative Mars Rover for the Rover Challenge competition. The all-student team patriciates in robotics and engineering competitions including the Canadian International Rover Challenge (CIRC) and European Rover Challenge (ERC).

The 37 multi-discipline team aims to push the boundaries of technology by designing, building, and programming advanced robotic systems, fostering innovation and teamwork. With experience in robotics, AI Integrations, navigation and control systems, the team has accomplished great feats in these international competitions including their recent 8th place in the Canadian International Rover Challenge (2024).

Silesian Phoenix use SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE platform technology to design, simulate, document and manage their projects.  In addition to competitions, their innovations have produced over 30 scientific and engineering  publications.
