RoboBoat 2023 Ocean Exploration Powered By Student Ingenuity

Robonation’s RoboBoat 2023 Competition, an international event that tests students skills and ingenuity above and below the water, took place last week in Sarasota, Florida USA.

RoboBoat is an international competition where students design, build, and compete with self-driving robotic boats, known as ASVs, in a series of tests aimed at challenging teams through a variety autonomous (self-driving) tasks.

SOLIDWORKS is the founding CAD sponsor for Robonation’s events that including STEM activities like SeaPerch to collegiate activities,  RoboBoat, RoboSub, and RoboX.

Any team can apply for student sponsorship to obtain SOLIDWORKS desktop and the 3DEXPERIENCE Works portfolio featuring cloud collaboration and SIMULIA Apps for structural engineering (FEA) with the Abaqus solver and flow analysis (CFD) with 3DEXPERIENCE Engineer.

We truly enjoyed our time talking with such talented students last weekend and we share their journey with you, in front of the judges on land and operating autonomously in the water.
