Students in Turkey Succeed with 3DEXPERIENCE in Design & Certification

We are fortunate to have dedicated professionals that inspire young students. SOLIDWORKS Champion and Tekyaz reseller, Ridvan Polat shared his latest outreach with students from the elementary school, Ankara Sınav Koleji Ortaokulu and their teacher, Serap Özgül. The students started out with SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids. Soon, Ms. Özgül introduced Ridvan to two talented young designers.

Students Elif Gülhan and Kemal Çağın Gül, both 10 years old, gave us their views on the course, SOLIDWORKS cloud apps and their achievements in certification.

Over 6 months, intense classes were held via Zoom afterschool and on weekends. These students were driven to learn and to design. First they started with the xDesign app. Then Ridvan presented an overview of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Ridvan used “age-appropriate” definitions. Instead of Orthographic projects terminology, he made an association with their flat kitchen table as a plane in 3D space.

When introduced to the SOLIDWORKS browser-based apps, Ridvan realized that it was possible for Elif and Kemal to take and pass our new 3DEXPERIENCE certification exams. Now there existed a new goal, create some of the youngest SOLIDWORKS certified users in the world with SOLIDWORKS cloud apps. The students passed the 3D Creator Associate exam.

What’s next? The SOLIDWORKS Cloud App, xShape of course. This app is fun with digital clay to create organic shapes.

Ridvan continues to show the SOLIDWORKS community, no matter what the age, that any can learn the new SOLIDWORKS cloud apps and 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS. Change is a part of growing.
