yCITIES (Creating Impact Through Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability) focuses on creating a strong and diverse pipeline of tomorrow’s founders and investors, while also creating spaces for today’s entrepreneurs who natively understand the problem they’re addressing.
yCITIES Innovation Challenge is an entrepreneurial problem-solving bootcamp specifically designed for ambitious middle and high school students who believe they have the potential to make societal impact as an innovator and leader. In this challenge, accepted students will learn frameworks and processes to determine how to go from an idea to a commercially viable solution.
Accepted students will be placed in small teams to tackle a centrally-issued challenge for this 2-round elimination competition. Acceptance into this program is based on quality/thoughtfulness of answers to illustrate strong work ethic and leadership potential.
While 3D printed prototypes and other physical/virtual outputs are required, students do not have to have a technical background. Many different types of skills, background, and personalities are required to make a solid team to design, create, analyze data, assess risk, determine the best business models, and beyond.
@Educators/Mentors, you may have a group of students just right to be young entrepreneurs. Students must apply but you can assist in the application process.

Deadline to submit is October 29th, 2022.
SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE Works teams are proud to sponsor yCITIES Innovation Challenge. Students will receive the same innovative software tools provided to our Entrepreneurs in the 3DEXPERIENCE Start-up Program.
Design well. Marie
