SOLIDWORKS Supports FIRST Global and FRC FTC and FLL Robotics Teams

Last month in Mexico City, SOLIDWORKS supported the FIRST Global Competition showcasing students’ innovation and inspiration in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

Founded by Dean Kamen, the mission of FIRST® is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership..

Now all FIRST teams can apply for sponsorship here.

With the help of our Mexican reseller, Intelligy, students from over 180 countries were able to compete in this “Olympics” of technology – focused on solving the world’s global problems.

Soon the  FIRST Robotics 2018-2019 season will begin.  SOLIDWORKS expands its sponsorship to provide SOLIDWORKS Student Premium software to all FIRST teams including:

FIRST Global,

FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC),

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and

FIRST Lego League (FLL and FLL-JR).

We recommend SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids to children ages 4-14 to be introduced to design and creation.

SOLIDWORKS continues to support FIRST R&D engineers in the creation of the field drawings and game manuals.  All FIRST teams can apply for sponsorship here.

It is going to be a great season as you all reach for the stars!  Marie
