With beautiful summer days ahead, it gives me great pleasure to introduce our newest SOLIDWORKS Entrepreneur, Pakayak. Pakayak is a patented high-performance sectional 14-foot sea/touring kayak made of hard plastic just like a traditional kayak so it paddles just the same. It is easy to assemble & disassemble. It is easy to transport by one person.
The individual pieces fit inside each other to minimize the storage footprint.
When packed, it is 3 1/2 feet long.
It is easy to transport in an elevator/cab/subway/ferry/plane/car trunk.
Assembles in under 5 minutes.
The sections are held together with our extremely strong unique clamping system to create a watertight seal.
Two large watertight hatches are designed for storage.
Similar to most sea/touring kayaks, two bulkheads keep fore and aft compartments watertight for safety when flipped or swamped, allowing the boat to stay afloat.
Here are the Specs:
Assembled Dimensions: 168”L x 24”W x 16”H
Nested Dimensions: 42”L x 24”W x 16”H
Cockpit: 18” x 34”

Giving back, Pakayak is helping the planet. According to Team Pakayak, Doug Mackro, Zinelle Mackro, Phil Miller and Day Moore, “We think it’s nearly impossible to enjoy paddling and not want to see the water and the things in it preserved. We are dedicating the company toward giving back to help preserve and clean up our oceans and waterways. From the beginning, a portion of our profits will be donated to preservation projects. It is our hope that through knowledge and awareness of the state of our oceans will come support for preservation.
To that end, each Pakayak model will be named after an endangered marine animal or fish with a percentage of profit from each sale going toward efforts to save that particular species. Each Pakayak owner will receive information regarding the status of the named species and a way to follow its progress. We also intend to join the member companies of 1% for the planet in the future.”
Pakayak is a member of the SOLIDWORKS Entrepreneur program. They utilized SOLIDWORKS and our simulation tools to design and analyze the Pakayak.
Thank you Zinelle and Team Pakayak for sharing with the SOLIDWORKS community. Marie
