Designing a Rocket to Break the Amateur Altitude Record
Kevin Healy just completed his sophomore year at Baylor University and is designing a rocket to break the amateur altitude record.
Kevin is using SolidWorks to create his design with guidance and support from engineers at SpaceX in McGregor, Texas where SpaceX tests their engines.
Kevin heads up the Horizon Rocket project. The goal of the project is to build a rocket that he hopes will create a new amateur altitude record of 72 miles. Kevin’s advisor is chemist, Dr. Vanessa Castleberry.
Thank you Kevin for sharing with the SOLIDWORKS community. Marie
