Dassault Systemes supports i.am.angel foundation and FRC 4964 i.am FIRST “Street Bots” robotics team

i.am.angel foundation with DS  It’s not every Saturday morning I wake up to an email from Bernard Charles, president and CEO of Dassault Systemes.  But today is an exciting day!  I have to share the new i.am.angel foundation video created by First Robotics Championship (FRC) team 4964 i.am FIRST “Street Bots” and DS with the SolidWorks Community.

Last November, at the 3DEXPERIENCE Forum,  DS introduced a new partnership with will.i.am‘s  innovative and inspirational  i.am.angel foundation as part of our support for (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM),  Enrique Legaspi, Chief of Staff, i.am.angel foundation inspired us with the concepts of  “Create, Curate and Share” on how the power tools of today such as 3D modeling and rapid printing can help the next generation touch the future.

will.i.am (pronounced Will I Am), is perhaps best known as one of the founding members of the band,  The Black Eyed Peas.  He is an American recording artist, songwriter, entrepreneur, voice actor, DJ, record producer, and philanthropist.  Through his i.am.angel foundation, he calls world attention for our next generation “rock stars” to be scientists and engineers, it starts within a single neighborhood, Boyle Heights in LA.

Last month, SolidWorks became an official supplier to FRC teams.  STEM support to students and their mentors comes in many forms from DS.  it occurs with our employees, value added resellers, partners and our customers.

Thank you will.i.am, Enrique Legaspi, and the FRC team 4964 i.am.FIRST Street Bots for sharing your story.  Marie
