SolidWorks at ASEE K12 Teacher STEM Workshop in Atlanta
Hundreds of educators spent Saturday at the 10th American Society of Engineering Educaiton (ASEE) K12 Teacher workshop in Atlanta Georgia. The ASEE event was sponsored by Dassault Systemes.
I was fortunate to present with two great educators, Fred Stillwell and Jeff Rosen from Georgia Tech, Fred and Jeff talked about how they have used SolidWorks in the classroom to teach students from middle school through high school about design, engineering and manufacturing with low cost projects.
Educators filled the SolidWorks breakout session and represented elementary school, middle school, high school and college instruction. So we modified our presentation to include all levels using SolidWorks as the visualization tool.
Educators got to modify the actual link and create an assembly. Fred and Jeff also talked about SolidWorks Sustainability and showed how material selection affects carbon footprint.
I love the ASEE K12 event, I get to meet so many dedicated educators that are excited about teaching. Marie
