Paint Tray and Roller
This week I decided to model a paint tray and roller as I enjoy painting and it seemed like it would be a fun project. I started the tray by shelling out the basic shape. A series of sweeps where used to create the ribs on the inside of the tray as well as the structural reinforcement around the feet and rim. The roller was made using a sweep for the arm and then lofts were used to make the handle of it. The paint was created by making a separate body in the paint tray for the bulk of the paint. The paint on the incline was made by creating a split line to break up the faces. This allowed only parts of faces to be colored giving the illusion that excess paint had been rolled of the roller in that one area.
