Stories on innovation for your classroom with SolidWorks users who are Born to Design

When I was teaching, seaching for innovation stories for students was a challange.  Now SolidWorks has made it easier.  Join the world's most innovative SolidWorks users on Born to Design

As SolidWorks CEO Bertrand Sicot said at SolidWorks Word 2012, we are all united by the idea of design. From engineers to designers to part-time inventors, our desire to discover inspires us to build products the world didn't even know it needed.

We hear about SolidWorks user designing amazing things every day, and we decided it was time to give some of them a bigger stage. On our new Born to Design website, we honor the people who are born to design and the products they were destined to create.

Born to Design SolidWorks

The first customers featured are Motoczysz, who have created the world's most advanced–and fastest–electric motorcycle, and SkySails, who are using the power of the wind to reduce the amount of energy consumed in transoceanic shipping.

But these aren't the only customers we're featuring. Every few months, we'll update the site with others such as Aldebaran Robotics, and we'll also include additional content from all of the customers. So be sure to add the site to your bookmarks after you've checked it out, and follow Born to Design on Twitter for news and updates. We'll also feature behind-the-scenes videos, stories about other users and more on the SolidWorks Facebook page.
