Formula SAE Michigan – Day 4 – For the Love of Engineering

After a heavy thunderstorm, the temperature has dropped.  Drivers had to make a gambling tire decision for a wet or a dry track.

I continue to find the love of engineering today, first I met the Northwestern team waiting in line for the endurance /fuel economy run.  What did they like best about this year’s event?  Making it to every contest from the static events through the dynamic events.

A trip to the pits finds me able to talk to the University of Manitoba.  With the Polar Bear Racing team’s help, SolidWorks was able to create models for FSAE teams on www.3DContentCentral.com.  These young engineers said that making through all events both static and dynamic was the highlight of this year’s competition.  Just more love about what they do from design to build.   They have a new website that was advertised on their car www.UMSAE.com.

And what about WPI?  Well this young team – made it through the endurance event.  So all static and dynamic events were completed.  They too achieved their goal – all for the love of engineering.  Marie
