Genetics – Pedigree Charts

Malefemale  Students will analyze a pedigree in order to explain how genetic traits are passed from parent to offspring.  Students will explain processes and the function of related structures found in unicellular and multicellular organisms. Students will observe cellular and multicellular organisms to compare and contrast how each is capable of doing all life functions. Students will determine if the Pedigree shows sex-linked, autosomal, dominant, or recessive traits. In SolidWorks, create a cylinder and a square.  From the front view, a circle represents the female and a square represents the male. Traits can be represents by a series of circles, squares and color.  Contributed by Pauline Oji, Maryland
