SOLIDWORKS Juice Dispenser Tutorial – Part 1

It’s that time of year, the kids have just head back to school and they are growing like weeds! In an effort to teach the kids a bit more independence, we are designing and 3D printing a custom juice dispenser so they can serve themselves in a fun and easy way.

Throughout this 3-part series, we’ll run through some basic modeling techniques in SOLIDWORKS. We’ll give a few pointers for splitting up and printing larger parts on desktop 3D printers, and we’ll hit the workshop to assemble and finish all of our components.

In part 1 of the series we’ll begin modeling the juice dispenser using an imported JPEG as a guide, and then modeling the basic shell with some essential modeling techniques.
