Formula Michigan – It’s All About Teamwork
The Formula SAE Michigan event tests students’ engineering skills in automotive design, business practices, presentation skills and teamwork. The students here are from all over the world and have been working tirelessly for months to get their cars ready to compete.
Formula SAE competitions challenge teams of university undergraduate and graduate students to conceive, design, fabricate, develop and compete with small, formula style vehicles.
For the SOLIDWORKS Edu team, it’s all about meeting with teams and the 1000’s of students that are waiting in line for tech inspection, making their way to the tilt table, or preparing for the next static or dynamic event in their tent.
We truly appreciate teams using SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS Simulation to create and analyze their designs. We also love to hear the stories of students that have used SOLIDWORKS and are going on to work at Tesla, SpaceX and so many of our commercial clients.
This month begins our SOLIDWORKS Student sponsorship fulfillment for the 2023-2024 season. For Windows, student teams can apply for SOLIDWORKS Premium, Simulation, Flow Simulation and Visualize, Electrical, Composer. Student teams can also apply for SOLIDWORKS Cloud apps that provide storage, sharing, and PLM.
3DEXPERIENCE Engineer includes SIMULIA Simulation Technology that includes the Abaqus solver for more complex, non-linear composite materials. Also included are Durability cycle analysis and Electromagnetic analysis for motors, antennae and fields.
Thank you teams for spending time with us at Formula Michigan. Along the way, we took a few candid photos. We are excited to share your passion with our SOLIDWORKS community.
Thank you SAE International Collegiate Design Series team for a great event. Thank you faculty advisors and students for being an integral part of the SOLIDWORKS community.
Design well. Marie
