Celebrate Earth Day with Apps for Kids

Celebrated for the first time on April 22, 1970 under the leadership of Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson who wanted to educate his students about the environment, Earth Day annually marks the anniversary of this environmental movement that has been so inspirational.

We, at Dassault Systèmes, pay a great attention to the Earth and the environment in general and it is important for us to celebrate Earth Day the way it deserves. Indeed, sustainability is at the heart of Dassault Systèmes’ Corporate purpose since we aim at providing business and people with 3DEXPERIENCE universes to imagine sustainable innovations capable of harmonizing product, nature and life.

The importance of protecting the environment is undisputable, but how do you get this message across to children so that they contribute to environmentally friendly practices? How does Earth Day inspire them?

In celebration of Earth Day, get your students (ages 4-14) involved by designing how Earth Day inspires them with SOLIDWORKS Apps For Kids.  Simply go to www.solidworks.com/AppsForKids-Classroom, create your free classroom account.  Then share their designs on social media mentioning #EarthDay and #SWA4K.

If you are an educator, to participate in the classroom, simply go to the Classroom app page, create your classroom account, set up accounts and have your students get creative straight away.

If you are a parent, simply create your kid’s account on www.solidworks.com/AppsForKids and get them started.
