Boys and Girls Club celebrates STEAM with SolidWorks Engineers

BGC-SolidWorks 3

On Saturday, DS SolidWorks engineers Vajrang, John, Even, Jie, Lin, Roberto and Bonny celebrated Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) with 250 children at the Boys and Girls Club of Leominster/Fitchburg Massachusetts.

The event attracted children, ages preschool to high school,  from as far away as Connecticut.  The SolidWorks engineers introduced SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation,  eDrawings on an iPad and 3D Printing concepts to children and their parents.

With SolidWorks Simulation, children got to visualize stress on a coat hanger and the effects of increasing mass on a frame.

SolidWorks customers also attended with their children and explained how they design with SolidWorks software at work to make great products.

Thank you SolidWorks engineers for sharing with our young community and thank you Boys and Girls Club of Leominster/Fitchburg for putting on such a great event that celebrates STEAM.

If you missed the event, don’t worry, the Boys and Girls Club of Leominster/Fitchburg has SolidWorks tools for your children to explore.  Marie
