SolidWorks CAD Certification – A Final Exam Provides a Life-Long Credential For Careers
In a tough job market, CAD certification is becoming a required credential for that first interview. The Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) exam tests a designer’s knowledge in the fundamentals of engineering design using SolidWorks. The CSWA exam is the first of eleven SolidWorks certification exams designers take for life-long learning.
SolidWorks provides qualified schools the ability to give the CSWA exam to their students. The school becomes a SolidWorks Certified Academic Provider. Next month, hundreds of schools will give the CSWA as their final exam. If you teach CAD, STEM, Engineering, or Technology based courses with SolidWorks, it’s not too late to register to give the CSWA exam to your students.
I really have to compliment SolidWorks’ certification team for revising the CSWA exam based on feedback from so many educators, state technical directors, and engineering managers that use CSWA as an assessment. Some of the new enhancements include:
- Schools name on the CSWA Certificate
- Expanded lookup in the SolidWorks Certification Center – for employers to verify
- Linked-In credential as students move into their careers
I have to thank the State of Florida, Department of Education and Workforce Develop teams for their input to make our program even better. I also have to thank the professors and administrators around the world that have given us feedback on the CSWA Exam. The CSWA Exam is now given in 12 languages. This is a global exam in a global world.
The CSWA Exam has been used as a Final Exam at many schools. Passing the CSWA exam is a credential your students will have for the rest of their lives. The CSWA Exam is truly a final exam to remember.
