The Dog Days of Summer

As August weeks get hotter in Boston, dogs need to cool off. So I asked SolidWorks dog Ellie, a yellow lab mix, and the other dogs to sit in the shade and share their favorite new features in the SolidWorks Education Edition 2013-2014 and new applications by SolidWorks.

Millie and Callie, black Labradors, love SolidWorks Electrical. SolidWorks Electrical enables quick design of your electrical and control systems with 2D schematics and integration with your 3D model, sold separately.

Otto, a French Bulldog, loves SolidWorks Plastics. SolidWorks Plastics is included in the SolidWorks Education Edition 2013-2014 and helps you easily identify and address potential defects in your plastic part or injection mold tool designs early in the design process.

Maley, a Havanese, likes eDrawings for Android, iPad and iPhone. Augmented reality is this dog’s favorite feature.

Harley, a Basset Hound, barks for the SolidWorks Intersect feature, this new modeling tool enables you to add and remove geometry in one operation.

Dobbie, a Jack Russell – Terrier mix, woofs for the new sketch functionality that enables you to create conic curves.

Bella, a Basset Hound mix, cannot wait for snow. She loves the new CAD Administrator Dashboard that tracks performance for each computer running on your network.

Griffin, a yellow Lab mix, gets free SolidWorks student licenses through the Student Access program at his school.

Jazz, a black Lab, dreams about running in the snow to celebrate his owner passing both the CSWA and CSWP exams. Qualified schools can become CSWA Providers and give the CSWA exam to their students.

Jake, a Keeshond, thinks My.SolidWorks.com is a cool place to connect and share with the SolidWorks Community.
