Hello 2023, Hello Stellar Rendering and Faster Performance

Hello 2023, and hello stellar rendering and faster assembly performance. The latest version of Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS, R2023xGA, features enhanced integration with SOLIDWORKS Visualize and the ability to set Resolved Mode as the default. Let’s take a more in depth look at what’s new and what’s coming this year. Stick around to the end for a sneak peek!

  1.       New – Stellar Rendering Engine Integration – easily produce photo-realistic images and impress customers.

Enjoy a consistent and enhanced visual experience through the more streamlined integration of SOLIDWORKS Visualize where you can use its new rendering engine with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform seamlessly. Now you can expect a faster, more consistent and enhanced visual experience when rendering and better yet, impress customers.

And did you know that a seat of SOLIDWORKS Visualize Standard is included with each seat of SOLIDWORKS Professional and Premium subscriptions? Yes, so you can take advantage of even more rendering capabilities using the two together.

Streamline the rendering engine of SOLIDWORKS Visualize for a more consistent and enhanced visual experience.

  1.       New – Automatically Optimize Resolved Mode – open assemblies faster and be more productive.

We’ve talked about this one in a couple of blog posts, but I want to remind you because it’s a big timesaver. You can turn on the Resolved Mode option to have your components and assemblies always open in Resolved mode, which opens components and assemblies faster. This new option is quite helpful as it also saves you the time from having to resolve components manually for properties such as mass and weight so you can easily visualize and work with large assemblies.

If you prefer you can still set up your system to manually toggle between Resolved Mode and Lightweight Mode.

Set Resolved Mode so your assemblies load up fast when you open them.

That sums up the latest release, which has been available since November.

Want to know what is coming? I’ll tell you about one enhancement that’s in the works but no promises on when. We’re working on giving you the ability to map drawing balloon numbers to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to improve cross collaboration and efficiency.

The next update will be available next month. Stay tuned to see if this enhancement makes it and for other good things to come!

And do not forget, with Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS, you can connect the SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD solution that you love to the cloud so you can take advantage of the data management and collaboration capabilities built into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. To make sure you are using Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS to its fullest potential and functionality stay on top of our blogs and ask your local reseller for a demo.
