SWUGN's Loss is Students Gain

Not that we’ve actually "lost" him, but after nearly three years, Adam Scheible is stepping down as President of the Portland Area SolidWorks User Group effective in December.  I’ve seen Adam in action in front of his group, and let me tell you his passion for SolidWorks and SolidWorks User Groups is beyond compare.  At a SWUGN Summit event in Seattle in 2006, he countered my lack of attendance lament by loudly proclaiming "Who cares, this is going to be a GREAT day"!!

Adam will be concentrating more of his efforts toward his students.  He’s been teaching at Portland Community College for two years, and will begin a one-term class soon at Clackamas Community College.  Adam assures me that this new focus will actually give him more time to devote to presentations and other content for PASWUG meetings.

PASWUG will be left in quite capable hands.  Heather Jennings, Andy Austin, and Rhyc Sandberg will take over the administration duties, and the group will continue to flourish under new leadership.

Thanks for all of your hard work Adam, and good luck with the new class.

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
