Don’t Miss SOLIDWORKS Manufacturing Live – Mavens of Manufacturing on September 7th

Throughout the last couple of episodes of Manufacturing Live, we started to recognized a common theme with our guests: the all-too-common skills gap in manufacturing coupled with the next generation of manufacturers and what types of people will be needed to fill those positions.

None of these discussions are new.  Everyone is talking about them at a high level, and some are even doing things to make the world better, like Titan Gilroy in our last episode.  He is not alone.

There is another person out there making a big impact—Meaghan Ziemba from Mavens of Manufacturing, who will be our special guest for Episode 4 of SOLIDWORKS Manufacturing Live, taking place on September 7th at 11AM ET on LinkedIn.

Meaghan is leading the charge to showcase women in Manufacturing and driving the discussion on how to get the next generation excited about Manufacturing and all the possibilities it can offer.

Mavens of Manufacturing has four major goals:

  •         Bring awareness to U.S. manufacturing to help increase our competitive edge from the rest of the world.
  •         Recruit younger generations to the engineering and manufacturing sectors to decrease the skills and gender gaps and create a platform of mentors for younger generations to connect and network with.
  •         Attract more women to increase our presence and fill more of the expected vacancies over the next 5 to 10 years.
  •         Provide a platform for different brands to share their stories and get connected with potential customers and employees.

Meaghan and the Mavens of Manufacturing are doing an amazing job at pulling back the curtain of Manufacturing today and asking the correct question of why can’t everyone have a successful and fulfilling career making things to improve the world around.  What was once a male-dominated sector is now home to everyone who wants to use their skills to build and create products.  More importantly, they discuss the real-world issues and challenges that are still present through the evolution of Manufacturing for everyone.  If you would like to tune into past episodes, please check out the podcasts here.

Please join me on September 7th at 11AM ET as we welcome Meaghan to Episode 4 of SOLIDWORKS Manufacturing Live on LinkedIn to chat about Manufacturing, the skills gap, and Manufacturing for everyone!
