Who Wants a SOLIDWORKS World 2018 T-Shirt?

Final preparations are being put into place for SOLIDWORKS World 2018 and this includes t-shirts. If you’re headed to the event in LA February 4-7, your t-shirt wishes will be fulfilled. As we’ve done for the past three years, the SOLIDWORKS community has designed and voted on the official SOLIDWORKS World 2018 t-shirts. And, as usual, you did not disappoint. Three winners were selected to be the official #SWW18 t-shirts and attendees get to pick their favorite to take home. Let’s take a look at each of the three winning designs and get the inside perspective on why each of these budding artists decided on their respective designs.

This is not the first SOLIDWORKS World shirt to feature a vehicle. However, it is the first SOLIDWORKS World shirt featuring a bear driving said vehicle. Here’s what Buddy from Fountain Valley has to say about his winning design:

It has a California bear cruising back to the exciting and creative city of Los Angeles for another great conference. This design represents everything Los Angeles, CA has to offer from the beaches to the mountain snow, to the thriving city and entertainment of Hollywood. SOLIDWORKS WORLD 2018 will be at the heart of it all.

Kam’s winning shirt design is one to please SOLIDWORKS World veterans. It features the California state map outline, but if you look closer all previous model mania parts hidden within the design. What are the odds Mark Schneider doesn’t pick this shirt?

Finally, for those who love LA-LA Land, you’ve got Hassen’s winning shirt featuring the Los Angeles skyline.

So this year we really have a shirt for varied tastes. You like animals? We’ve got a bear – and again, the bear is driving a van. You a Model Mania champ? You should wear this to pick up your award. You just love LA? Take the skyline home with you. See you in LA!
