Continuous Learning with SOLIDWORKS Certification
When WPI faculty member John “Jack” Hall received his PhD from the University of Florida in 1962, he began a career in vibration analysis and soil mechanics. Jack has a drive for continuous learning. After learning SOLIDWORKS during this summer, Jack earned his Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA).
Jack is also co-advisor to the WPI Formula SAE team.
As a fisherman, pilot and Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) member, Jack is experimenting with many new ways to use SOLIDWORKS. Jack teaches Structural Engineering, Dynamics & Signal Analysis, Engineering Experimentation, and advises senior design Master Qualifying Projects (MQPs).
Since finding out about SOLIDWORKS Simulation, Jack is working to incorporate examples into classes and student projects.
Jack is an active ASTM Member, winning the C.A. Hogentogler Award (2014) and Richard S. Ladd Standards Development Award (2015, 2016).
Congratulations Jack on achieving CSWA and sharing with the SOLIDWORKS community. Marie
