University of Warwick Developing a Nano Satellite with SOLIDWORKS
The UK’s University School of Engineering Warwick Satellite Team (WUSAT) continues to innovate with their development of a cube-shaped nano satellite, carried into space on a REXUS rocket.
.
This multi-discipline engineering team is using SOLIDWORKS to design and manufacture their product to support atmospheric research to establish a method for discovering Earth-like exoplanets.
Warwick students are not new to space. In 2006, SOLIDWORKS was proud to share their story with The ‘Warwick ESMO’ team, on the design/build of the electrical power supply system (EPS) for ESA’s Moon Orbiting Satellite.

Tomorrow the Develop 3d Live conference will be held at University of Warwick. The conference celebrates design, engineering, and manufacturing technology and how technology brings products to market faster. SOLIDWORKS CEO, Gian Paolo Bassi will be speaking at this event. I am confident that engineering students from University of Warwick will be part of our future, innovating new products on the ground and in space.
Thank you University of Warwick WASUT team for sharing with the SOLIDWORKS Community. Marie
