The Importance of 3D Design and Digital Prototyping in Brescia Italy
In the beautiful, northern valley of Vobrano, Italy, the school, Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Giacomo Perlasca, finds itself surrounded by innovative SOLIDWORKS commercial customers and the Brescia Fab Lab. The area is filled with examples in engineering and art history. The mountains also look upon new technology, recognizing the importance of 3D design and digital prototyping.
Our Value Added Reseller, Alessandro Tornincasa, from Nuovamacut sponsored a Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) Exam event with Professor Fabio Caruccio.
According to Professor Caruccio,” the recent reform of Italian high school education requires students to have specific certified competencies. Certification is a new concept for Italian school: in the next years certification will become compulsory for all students in order to prove their competency.”
Students of the 4AM class at Istituto di Istruzione Superiore G. Perlasca under the guidance and training by Prof. Caruccio, have all recently passed CSWA exam.
“CSWA certification is important in order to prove students’ competencies in digital prototyping, which is a fundamental topic for small and medium businesses which are always in need of designers and drafters. IIS Perlasca students now have the opportunity to present with a richer resume to companies after finishing their study course.”
Professor Caruccio knows the importance of 3D designing and digital prototyping. He belongs to the creative team managing the Brescia Fab Lab.
The Fab Lab Brescia recently participated in the 3D printing fair in Milan called “3D print hub”.
Thank you Professor Caruccio and Alessandro for sharing with the SOLIDWORKS and FAB LAB Communities. Qualified schools can apply to become CSWA – Academic providers here. Marie
