Fab Lab BCN - What's inside a great FAB LAB?

Barcelona. A city filled with art, architecture, and engineering. During FAB10Barcelona, I got to visit Fab Lab BCN at IAAC – Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia.

People make a great Fab Lab. And in Barcelona, the space is filled with people sharing their design ideas.

Fab Lab BCN is filled with digital equipment, workshop space, electronic technologies, and tools, shared with its community, not only in Barcelona but around the world.

With videoconferencing and the internet, Fab Lab BCN connects with other members in 30 countries.

Fab Lab BCN is where art meets engineering and design with a positive effect on our lives and the lives of children.

Fab Lab BCN is also a FAB Academy. FAB Academies are the teaching arm of the FAB Foundation offering classes in design and manufacturing to the community of all ages.

In and around Barcelona, there are Fab Labs that have different focus such as art, sustainable design, biology and solar. Fab Lab BCN, thank you and your members for making your city the host city for FAB10. Marie
