Recap of Top Ten List – 3DEXPERIENCE World 2024

SOLIDWORKS has always been a customer-driven product. Enhancements to SOLIDWORKS products are driven from feedback obtained through direct customer research, analysis of our many internal databases of customer information, reviewing feedback from our many public forums and, of course perhaps most importantly, direct customer request for enhancements – like the ideas submitted to the The Top Ten List – 3DEXPERIENCE World 2024.

Earlier this year,, featured a blog post about this annual collection of user feedback:

“It is true that the Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS product definition team has many tools for asking users’ input throughout the year. But none are as simple, as straightforward and as successful as this event. As we reported in last year’s articlethe implementation rate of the ideas voted in Top Ten is close to 70%.”

You can read that entire post here:

Here’s how it works: Users can go to a special community on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to vote for their favorite new enhancement. This Top Ten List – 3DEXPERIENCE World 2024 ideas community is launched every year, a few months before 3DEXPERIENCE World 2024.

This year the community launched in November of 2023 and the community closed right before the conference. The results of The Top Ten List – 3DEXPERIENCE World 2024 were presented at the conference, during a well-attended user session on the last day of the event.

When The Top Ten List is open, users submit enhancement ideas to the open community, allowing other participants the opportunity to comment and vote for these idea submissions. Every year, participants are rewarded for their efforts by seeing many of their Top Ten List enhancement ideas implemented in the SOLIDWORKS product. Though it is called the Top Ten List, all ideas submitted to the community are considered for future enhancements to the software.
