If you read the first Product Showcase preview, you already know that Augmented Reality, Pinball, and a Helicopter Simulator will be at your disposal during SOLIDWORKS World 2016. To borrow a tried and tested line from the infomercial community, “but wait, there’s more!” Here’s a preview of three more cool products designed by your peers in SOLIDWORKS that you can see in the Product Showcase.
Creators of amazing 3D printers for pros and DIY enthusiasts, SeeMeCNC is bringing a GIANT 3D printer to SOLIDWORKS World. The 17’x8′ machine will print several large-format items over the duration of the event. Really any time you stop by the display, you’ll be CN-seeing something new.
One of the most admirable traits of engineers is their passion to improve upon something that’s been seemingly designed to death. That’s the case with the Pigeon Scooter, an award-winning project built by Ignas Survila of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. You’ll get to try the Pigeon yourself and check out its minimalist approach to design and use.
As a kid, I remember playing with some third-rate, knock-off, tethered remote-controlled (RC) car and just feeling really sad about the whole situation. If you had to suffer a similar youth, our demons will be exorcised by the Axial Racing display. This company creates mind-blowing RC vehicles that look so real I have a hard time believing they are not life-size. You’ll get to do more than look though. Axial Racing will have an area for you to race its RC cars and will have a leaderboard for bragging rights.
