SolidWorks World 2007 – What to Expect

Even a seasoned SolidWorks World veteran can be overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the conference.  130 technical sessions, 100+ exhibits to see, general sessions, thousands of attendees, and 200 or so SolidWorks employees running around makes for an exciting few days.

If this is your first SolidWorks World, you’re in for quite a treat (and probably quite a shock).  Over the next fews days, I’ll do my best to break down the conference into manageable chunks.  We’ll look at each conference day, and I’ll try to provide some tips to make the most of your adventure.

The best part of my job as User Community Coordinator is getting out and meeting users around the world.  I’m lucky enough to be able to attend dozens of user group meetings each year, but SolidWorks World is where it all comes together.  I’ll be there from the moment registration begins, and I’ll stay until…well…

I’ll get the lights.

Only 83 days until SolidWorks World 2007!!!

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
