SOLIDWORKS World 2016 – Why You Should See MY Session

SOLIDWORKS World 2016 will be here before you know it, and it’s time to start thinking about the sessions you will attend.  Over the next couple of months, we’re going to ask SOLIDWORKS World presenters to come here and convince you that their session should be on your list.

Today it’s my turn to convince you to skip a breakout session and attend the 17th Annual SWUGN Summit Meeting at SOLIDWORKS World 2016.

17th Annual SWUGN Summit
The SOLIDWORKS User Group Network invites you to join over 100 user group leaders and officers at the annual SWUGN Summit meeting at SOLIDWORKS World. We’ll look back at some of the history and some of the people responsible for creating the greatest user community in the CAD industry, and you’ll hear from some very important guests. If you would like to hear more about SWUGN, learn about the benefits of belonging to a local SOLIDWORKS user group chapter, and have some fun in the process, join us at this special Monday afternoon meeting. The 17th Annual SWUGN meeting will be held on Monday, February 1st, 2016, from 4:30pm to 6:00pm – room number TBD.

Every year since 2000, the SWUGN Committee has hosted the SWUGN Summit meeting at SOLIDWORKS World.  Always scheduled for Monday afternoon, more than 200 people skip one breakout session to attend this meeting – because its fun, informative, and in the case of SOLIDWORKS User Group leaders, required.  We’ll talk, we’ll reminisce, we’ll laugh, and sometimes we’ll even cry (well.. mostly me).

At the SWUGN Summit meeting, you’ll hear all about SWUGN – some history, the year in review, future plans, and highlights from around the network.  Special guests will pop in from time to time, and you’ll hear from SOLIDWORKS executives and the SOLIDWORKS Certification Team.  On occasion, members of the Product Definition team make an appearance to thank group leaders for hosting them at local chapter meetings and helping to provide customer visits as part of the trip.  SOLIDWORKS Resellers and SOLIDWORKS Partners are also a big part of the meeting, especially the winners of the annual SWUGN Reseller of the Year and SWUGN Partner of the Year awards.

I’ve also got a special surprise this year.  If you’re a history buff and a SOLIDWORKS Community fanatic, I think you’ll like what I have in store for you.

So this year, go ahead and skip that Monday afternoon session (proceedings are always posted after the conference) and come hang out with some of the greatest people on the planet, our SWUGN Group Leader and Officers.
