The SOLIDWORKS User Group Network at SOLIDWORKS World 2015

SOLIDWORKS World is sometimes called “the biggest SOLIDWORKS User Group Meeting of the Year”, and you’ll get no argument from me. Nor would the 100 or so SOLIDWORKS User Group leaders and officers that attend yearly disagree. SOLIDWORKS World is the culmination of a year’s work for our local chapter leaders, and they take full advantage.

For the SOLIDWORKS User Group Network (SWUGN), SOLIDWORKS World kicks off at the Sunday evening welcome reception. After you’ve grabbed some food and drink, head into the “Community Area” of the Partner Pavilion and make a beeline for the SWUGN pod. You’ll find dozens of SOLIDWORKS User Group leaders hanging out, getting reacquainted, sharing stories, and meeting some of the newer group leaders. A user group leader or officer will be available at the SWUGN pod at all times during Partner Pavilion hours.

If you would like to meet all of the SOLIDWORKS User Group leaders and officers at one time, the place to be is the 16th Annual SWUGN Summit meeting. We’ll look back fondly at 2014 in the network, share some stories from user group meetings, and celebrate the fact that we belong to the greatest user community in the CAD business. We also welcome some special guests during the meeting, so don’t be surprised to see a few SOLIDWORKS executives pop in. The annual SWUGN Summit meeting is scheduled for Monday afternoon, February 9, 4:30pm to 6:00pm in Room 229, North Building.

SOLIDWORKS User Group leaders and officers will also be providing breakout sessions for the attendees. For a complete listing of sessions that will be presented by SOLIDWORKS User group leaders (both past and present), check out the post at the SOLIDWORKS User Group Network blog.

SOLIDWORKS User group leaders are some of the most visible attendees at SOLIDWORKS World, but if you’re still having trouble finding them, look for the SWUGN ribbons on their badges. An attendee with one of these green tags is definitely someone you will want to meet!
